Dan Irwin
Hello! My name is Dan and I was born and raised in beautiful Scottsdale, AZ. I’ve always been interested in learning about Real Estate and am very fortunate to reside in one of the best markets in the nation. I wanted to become a Realtor because I love helping people, and to provide for my family. Starting my Real Estate career with the top selling team in Scottsdale, I was able to work along side the best agents in the Valley, learning the very basics of buying/selling property, to crafting through the most difficult of transactions in the luxury market. What separates me from the competition is my will and desire to find my clients success, and make the buying/selling process, as smooth as silk. I want to hustle for you!
Let's get personal....
I’ve grown up with sports and music being an integral part of my life.
My father was a Sports Agent, representing a handful of professional athletes (Football, Basketball, Baseball), a majority playing for the Cardinals, Suns, and Diamondbacks, here in the Valley. I was fortunate to meet all of his client athletes, attend more games than I can count, visited just about every college in the country to recruit athletes, and adopt a love for sports and business at a very young age. That love pushed me to learn and perform at a different level of competitiveness and work ethic. A level that helped me earn multiple athletic scholarships and play 2 sports in college, start a Rock band and build it from a “garage band” to a professional national touring business, get married and start a family, and make a living in Real Estate.
Football and Basketball were LIFE through high school and college. Earning a scholarship for football, I attended a small college in Blair, NE. I found success at Receiver, and went on to make the All-American Team, along with setting the reception and receiving yards records at the college. My sophomore year, I decided to try out for the basketball team, after watching the team play their first game of the season. I made the squad, and was the starting point guard by mid season! That year was one of the most fun and memorable ones of my collegiate career.
The level of love and commitment I learned through my years of high level competition, I brought with me when starting a career as a professional musician. While playing sports in college, I formed a Hard Rock band with a few of my teammates from the football and basketball team. We went from practicing in my tiny dorm room, to playing shows to just family and friends in our small college town of Blair, NE, to selling out shows in Omaha and surrounding cities, to headlining national tours, recording original music with top producers in Los Angeles studios, getting national and international radio play, winning awards and sponsorships/endorsements, and playing in front of 10’s of thousands of fans across the states. This was truly the experience of a lifetime, and I would not have been able to make this happen or survive without the responsibility, drive, and commitment learned from my early years in sports and life.
My passion for Real Estate is fueled by these experiences above, that I have poured my heart and soul into. Hard work and dedication are two very important characteristics that I cherish. The competitiveness of the sports and music industry. The relationships made, people helped, and lessons learned. I am so thankful for all, and have transitioned all with me into my Real Estate business. This new chapter of my life is already a special one, and I have so much joy sharing all of the knowledge so far learned, with my clients, and achieving their goals in this current Real Estate market. As a native Arizonian or Phoenician, I have first hand experience and am at the forefront of the Arizona Market. I have seen AZ Real Estate evolve over the course of 40 years of my life and am currently living in the heart of Scottsdale. We WILL be ahead of the game.
THE BIG MOVE
My father passed away my Freshman year of high-school. He was my dad, coach, mentor, and best friend. A year later, my mother relocated us from Scottsdale, AZ, to Omaha, NE. It was as if I had to “start over” and decide whether I was going to live, or bask in the sadness of not only leaving everything I had ever known and worked so hard for, but not having my father by my side. Failing was not an option for me. The choice was to take this life on, stay positive, and get stronger. This was one of the toughest things I had to deal with in my life, and forced me to learn the meaning of the word, perseverance, at a young age. I finished my high-school in Nebraska, as the captain and Starting Quarterback of the varsity football team and captain and starting point guard of the varsity basketball team. I Earned a Full Ride College Football Scholarship and played 4 years of football and 1 year of basketball for that College.
BACK TO AZ
As my band hit our 15 year anniversary, we were starting to transition from a life on the road mentality, to a focus of family and our personal lives. The life of a professional musician can be a quite lonely one, that does not leave much room or time for family. I mean, unless you are Metallica, the life of a rockstar is not as glamorous as one might think, haha. Family first was always our priority, and after over 15 years of going full speed and giving our all to the Rock & Roll life, we were all on the same page that it was time to move on to the next chapter. This was the point where I knew I could finally make my move back home to Scottsdale, AZ, and begin this new chapter of my life.
October, 24th, 2020, I married the love of my life. My wife and I met in Omaha, NE, while I was a full time musician and playing over 150 live shows a year. We dated all through my “band years’ of touring and recording non-stop. As touring slowed down, we were able to make the move to Scottsdale, AZ together, and start building our family. On October 17th, 2021, we welcomed our first child, a beautiful baby girl we named, Ivy Rose. Ivy has added so much joy to our lives, and every week is a little more exciting than the next!
